BF2 could really do with a Status webpage. Automatically updated informing us if any of the servers are down or whatever. Simple, but effective.

Tried 1:55pm, couldn't. I wish it wouldn't wait 5 minutes while it tried, in the meantime being totally unresponsive to alt-tab, alt-F4, cntrl-alt-del, Windows key, or anything...

Amen to that. I was just about to post the exact same thing. Personally I find a lot of games and apps don't respond to ALT+F4 or the escape key etc. Is it just me or was the escape key initially meant to immediately interupt a running program or process and stop it dead in it's tracks.

I don't know if it's down to the operating system or whatever but I want a key that just immediately takes me back to my desktop and kills all running programs instantly. Yeah it might be bad to use it sometimes but I want that choice.

This reminds me of Americas Army when sometimes it would be down for the whole day. But that wouldn't be a problem because you didn't have to pay for the game.

actually its not down, i thought that at first too, its just super slow.
just wait and you will get in.
so dont give up, log in and go have a smoke or something, takes me about 4mins of watching that 2 spinning around for me to get in. eventually it turns into a cursor and then 90seconds later im in.
