what is logic on who gets credit for kill
and getting killed
and 3 times last night
same jet rammed my cobra
I got a kill
my gunner got killed
and no mention of enemy pilot on screen

The kill/death/TK system for these is very complicated, I have a friend that works for EA and he's explained a bunch of it to me. However, due to its secretive nature I would have to kill you if I told you anything.

I will provide one picture that helps define how BF2 determines who killed who and who TK'd who when some lamo in a J10 rams a cobra:
