just wondering if there is going to be any leagues (like cpl) playing bf2 sometime soon? I am really curious to see how top level players play like, and how good they are. Is there anywhere I can even download demos of matches like this?

Also is there even much of a competitive scene for bf2? I think it has really great potential, anything can happen and it is very deep (unlike cs).

No not really, coz when you have battlerecorder running the server is slowed and becomes a bit laggy. This causes big problems when teams from the opposite side of the continent play each other, as one teams pings are normally bad enough without the added lag by battlerecorder. You may see some demos made, but it is very unlikely that you will see lots of them. Most teams wont want to show their tactics.
