Game freezing

From yesterday morning, when I start playing BF2, it freezes early in the game [1-2 min.] and the only solution is hard reset. It is weird because I played normal before yesterday. I install graphic card, sound card and motherbord drivers again [latest drivers] and game still freezes. Any solutions?

Dose it freze when you open your bf2 and try 2 log in your profile or during the game?

During the game..I also read about Punkbuster problems etc.. so I disable it and went on a server without punkbuster but that didnt solve the problem.

Sound has been causing lockups for people. If you are insistant on using hardware (if you have a 3rd party sound card) then try setting it to Medium, and disable EAX (if it is checked). If that doesn't work, try software rendering.

Fool around with settings to make sure this isn't causing the hard-lock.

Give this a try. I just recently solved my freezing problem.

The problem turned out to be some errors with my new ram.

Do a thorough test of your memory to make sure it doesn't have any errors.

Go to www.memtest.org and download the 1.6 version of memtest86+.

Create a bootable floppy disk or CD-Rom, and let it do a full check through all the tests of your memory.
