    Graphics artefacts!

First of all id like to say that i think this is an absolutely great game . It is the step forward in fps war multiplayers that i have been waiting for . Unfortunately this step forward seems to have come at price . Well for me its been a gaming nightmare . Make one small adjustment to anything and the whole thing goes haywire. Once i get it going alright (im being optimistic here) im not gonna change a freakin thing . Anyway my question after all that is follows - Since i reinstalled and patched the game i keep getting problems with my graphics. Parts of the terrain appear very bright yellow in a manner that is obviously wrong . Also in gun fights when weapons are being discharged the muzzleflash is like lightning strikes whith whole areas being lit up . This is not only annoying and distracting but also tends to give me a bit of a headache which is the last thing you need when playing online i think you will agree. Im not a boffin so any tips would be appreciated.

    amd 3500 whatever
    1gig 32whatevr
    radeon 9600 wha
i think they are the main ones ppl put up

Sounds like something is overheating maybe gfx card on the way out. More likely the latter.

Did you make sure you removed all references to BF2 when you uninstalled it? You have to delete the BF2 folder in My Documents or it'll mess up the new install. This is especially true when you change hardware. Although artifacts are generally due to overheating.
