Best way to earn global points

I just turned off my game after playing for 10 hours straight, hoping to get some more progress towards my next rank, but I've barely gained anything at all. At this rate, it seems like it will take me about two months to get to my next rank.

Is there some sort of trick to gaining global points, such as a certain class to play as, maps to play, vehicles to use, etc...

I really wanna get my second unlock and I'm only at 2,880 some global points.

Karkand or the other city maps

find a city maps server and just play

If you look at the leaderboard, you'll see a trend.

1) Specialize on Strike at Karkand (urban, mass death = mass points)
2) Tank whore (K/D ratio +7)
3) Aircraft whore (K/D ratio +7)
4) Low CP captures, pure kills (personal goals > team goals, no incentive to win the round)
5) Noobcannon is your friend (4 shots = 8 points at least, die and repeat)

Even if you do one of these, you'll get points quickly.

i have the same prob, i play and play but it taking me forever to get points. i get maybe 15 to 20 points per round at this rate it will take months to unlock everything.

Medic on Strike at Karkand. 64 Man server, there will be dead bodies EVERYWHERE. It's insane. When I used to do that I'd get 100+ every game. I stopped because I like flying helicopters so I play other maps.

Compare hmmmmm... Fushe pass and Karkand, which one you have more chance to earn points ?

or if you played BF1942, compare El Alamein and Stalingrad...

Karkant and Sharki are the 2 best maps for mass points...but the reason why you only got some global score after 10h is because sometimes when there is lots of players playing the bf2 states recoder lags so when u finish a round and u keep playing none stop it tends 2 bug and you only get like 50-60% of ur total score . I had the same probleme , to prevent it i play 4 rounds and leave the server / quit the game . Wait 3 minutes and go back , you will have all the score that you wroked for.

Grenade launcher. You can also use the rocket launcher, but it isn't as fast.
