Can't join servers???

For some odd reason, when I double click/enter ip or press Join Server button, the small screen will come up for 1-10seconds saying "Joining Server" then it will close and change to "updating server list" and throw me back to the server lobby where I can pick any other server and get the same problem!!!

I am on version 1.1.2484.0 which I beleive is the newest version. I have disabled my firewall to test if that was the problem which it isn't. I also have punkbuster ENABLED, I have also tried disabling punkbuster to see if that would work but it makes no difference at all.

What else could be the matter? I've run out of ideas on what could be causing this issue...

Here are some llinks to people who had the same problem unfortunately there was no "solution" other than uninstalling and reinstalling which is a pain the the a$$ for me becuase my dvd rom is absolute bollox and always gives me md5 errors when writing files but it can *read* the disc "fine" to play the game.

i get Failed to connect suddenly again, while i thought i solved it and it worked, but suddenly since 3 hours its giving me **** again.

But somehow i could gte at a unranked server, but not at any other ranked or unranked servers, so my connection is ok.(cuz else i couldnt have connect this morning also ect.)

This is so ****ing frustrating, last time this happened i couldnt play 2 weaks, now the trick i used to solve it wont work. (

Frustrating is a dull word to what I am feeling, this game has given me nothing but grief since I got it

Hmm thats certainly is a strange trick, maybe it's a memory conflict or something and not loading something specific and only did it properly on the 4th load. Wierd.

I have the exact same problem. Did you get kicked from a server? I think I have the same problem as the guy in the first link. I got kicked the other night for something stupid and was not suppose to be able to re-connect for 10 minutes. I think it was PB. Anyway I can’t reinstall because of random MD5 errors, it took me 2 days to reinstall it the last time.

Any help would be awesome!!

Ok so here’s the fix, re-install the game. For all of you who get lot’s of MD5 errors (like me) here’s a trick. Install the game in safe mode, it works just finished it and tried the game and was able to load servers. No MD5 errors either. To manually uninstall the game go to:

Dont reinstall. You need to reenter your cd key. Theres a program in the support folder to do so.

Yes but why does my BF2 works sometimes, but suddenly after 2 weaks agains begins to say = Failed to connect, its strange, i have reinstalled it but didnt make any difference, and the ******** that my connection is not oke =

I can see the scores of the players on the server.

plus

1 x restart BF2 = Full server list, Failed to connect to server
2 x restart BF2 = only 14 or so server, Failed to connect to server'
3 x restart BF2 = only 14 or os server, Failed to connect
4 x restart BF2 = *When trick worked* = Full server list, Can Connect
4 x Restart BF2 = *No it is ****ed again* = 14 or so server, Failed to connect
5x restart BF2 = worked a couple of times but now it aint working anymore!

This is the most weird problem ,a nd more weird = it seems to happen every two weaks around tuesday or wednesday.
