if someone tks you for the flag capture. Punish them. They get -6 and for the flag capture would only get +2/4

The problem I seem to have is that guys build up a hefty score and then start tk'ing like crazy b/c there's no way they'll get kicked even though I punish them.

Just happened right now playing Strike, some jerk named Pimpmyknife started TK'ing me for no reason at all. I was guarding the shallow area across the river with my C4. Unless he was just being an ass, the only reason I can think of why he was tk'ing me is that he switched sides just to get me.

He probably cost me my EO badge.

i hate people that stand in front of your plane that you are taking off in so you run the guy over. then they punish you for the TK.

People who do that are worthy of a kick from servers

It's funny how a system that was designed to help everybody play a little nicer, has been abused, and turned into a tool to grief people. I almost never punish for TKs. It's not worth the 20-minute flame war that's going to ensue, and if nothing else I know that I'm the better guy for not freaking out about it.

I will say this though. I play a LOT of sniper, and when I climb a tower, or some other roost, where there's really only enough room for me, I lay a claymore behind me. It's a valid tactic, and I warn people. But it never fails that some dork comes along, and totally disregards the red skull, and blows himself up. Then, (big suprise) punishes me!
It's not like I put the mine in the open, or in a busy area.

Don't punish people for your own stupidity!

                      i think some are accidents
(color of tag - which explains gunning a teammate right next to you)
some are stupid (standing behind a tank doing repair)
some are noobs (too many to list)
some are game flaws (stinger switchlock)
                      some are bad luck
(running around the corner and a speeding buggy or Humv)

                      BUT THIS ONE ! ! ! ! ! ! !|!
would like to ban for LIFE ! ! !! !
killing you while waiting for helo or jet
                      this is NO accident
                      this is F***ing wrong

To whoever said that they only punish because every one else punishes them...how does that help anything? That's just keeping the punish wheel turning. The only way it's going to stop is for people to forgive, and for people to force punishers into TK's, so they know that it's not right to do within the BF2 community.

See my sig for my feelings on the subject.

ya, for real... i forgive people unless its obviously on purpose. last night i was in a APC in a firefight and backed up 2 inches running over a teammate. 1 sec after that BAM i've been punished! WTF?! It's not like i MEANT to kill you... jeez, i was spamming "Sorry, MAn" "i'm sorry" too...

Maybe they could change it so you could only punish if there were no enemies within a certain range?

Seems like a feasible solution that would help some what.
