Showing up as PLAYER is no more but getting credit for kill

sorry for the long title but. . .

I've noticed on a few occasions that when I shot a chopper and it crashes a little later it says the players are no more, however I still get a kill and 2 points for each kill in my stats. It also happens when I crash into another chopper or plane. It says they are no more but I get a kill for it.

Anybody had this happen or know anything about it?

I always assumed that I didn't get credit for the kill when it said "is no more"

Yeah I assumed that too, until today. For instance sometimes when two planes crash, one will get a kill and the other won't (it will say their opponent is no more), however I never checked my stats to see if I got credit. From the best I can tell, you get credit with for a "road kill" with that vehicle.

I tested it out today. I entered a server (had 0 points), then I rammed a Blackhawk with another chopper. It said I was killed by the BH's pilot and that all the 5 passengers were no more. So I looked at my score and I had 10 points and 5 kills and 1 death.

              yea, it is.

That does explain more points than i knew of. When shooting at a helo with a tank and they crash. Several times in a round.

The best is when you die, and there is NO "JohnDoe [killed] Gulf_War_Syndrome" and NO "Gulf_War_Syndrome is no more" in the logs. I wonder if these appear as a kill on someones stats - I definately get a death count for it.

Maybe if you damage the chopper sufficiently, when it crashes and killls the players inside you get the kill?
