Friendly Fire Off - Still ranked?

If you play on a server that has friendly fire off and/or auto balance, do you still get the points you earned?

Ive always thought you didnt but i see so many ranked server with these settings

I don't think you can turn off friendly fire and auto balance in ranked servers...

Oh, you can.. I've seen a few... Not sure if they were hacked or anything, but they exist... Last one I was on was called something like "adult gamers elite" and they had FF off... (they were real bastards about their server too)...

yup ive played on servers which are ranked and have autobalance disabled ! really handy too especially if your team sucks switch sides and no stupid suicide punishes :p stfu EA go shove ur autob :p alance where the sun dont shine and your tk system too :laugh:

Are you absolutley sure? Because i was just playing on 24/7 Karkland and it had friendly fire off. I havent got my points or ribbon yet :/

No, with the 1.02 patch, the rules are now enforced.

So FF must be on, Autibalance must be on, ticket ratio must remain at 100% (not real sure about this one).

Before 1.02 those things could be changed, the rules didn't change, but there was no way to enforce it. Now somehow, they can.

By friendly fire off, do you mean it set to 0? If so, i play on a ranked server like that most of the time, i get points and everything else i may get aswell. You CAN teamkill, but i don't think they can punish. I'm not 100% sure, but next time i go on, i'll ask about it.

Yep thats what i mean by off. Stats dont seem to be updating on any server at the moment so with a bit of luck i will get my ribbon tommorow or something.

autobalance off would be a huge risk factor for stat padding.

Thats because the bf2 states tracker sux ballz just like there tk punishement all the time .

Just thought i would let you know that the ribbon i got on a server with friendly fire set to zero did eventualy show up along with my points :)

Auto-balance isn't a req of EA's, they just recommend it to keep gameplay fair.
