You can't really compare them, if you don't play sniper much get the G3, however if you play as a sniper quite a bit get the M95, it pretty simple really.

The M95 is only good for replacing the MEC and PLA rifles because it's more powerful but with that it's a lose lose situation. Personally I stick with the M24 and am starting to wish I'd unlocked the G3:cry:

the G3 has huge stopping power if used right and accurate to at long distances,Heap beta than the 95 witch everyone uses the m24 anyway!

the g3 can be very accurate if ur good better sniper gun than that heap of Sh!t m95

Despite what people say, the m95 is a good gun. All of the sniper rifles are good guns and VERY accurate. My main complaint about the m95 is the sites, they are very thick and make shooting at long distances more difficult. That being said, If you are prone and zoomed you can hit whatever you can see with any of the sniper rifles. Moving targets are difficult to get used to, but once you understand the travel time and bullet drop it all boils down to judging distance. I use the m95 almost exclusively and I've gotten plenty of kills at 400+ meters and I can consistantly get hits at over 500 meters, where soldiers begin to magically dissapear from view.

If I can do it so can everyone else.

If you unlock the G3, you will then be granted access to unlock the Fn2000 (which has noob grenades + flashbangs) ... unlocking Sniper doesn't entitle you to anything from SF.

Remember the Fn2000 can now be used in regular BF2.

Edit: Geez why are people digging up posts 4 months old? The guy probably has unlocked 3-5 weapons since then.

PKM all the way:p
45 dmg per shot, w/ some random spray you can get some easy kills
and the large amo + earn point by giving out ammo

theyre both aiite, but the g3 just lacks bullets and a nooblauncher and the m95 lacks accuracy

If you do unlock the M95 then play alot of Mashtuur. Thats what I did and it aint bad, gotta have some patience and you'll get how it works. It quite shines there when scaring of helicopters, blowing jeeps up and shooting passengers in helis And then it really feels like you've been owned when someone M95 you

Get the G3 if you want to get the F2000 soon.

ok, guess I should put my 2 cents worth in, since I have both lol.

First off with the g3. The gun is very powerful, however you have to be careful when firing on full auto, as it becomes a hose and just sprays everywhere. On single fire, its very accurate, dispite what people say, I've taken out snipers with it, and missed with guns like the ak47. You do lose the "noobtube" or grenade launcher, and also lose 10 rounds in your magazine. You have to realize though that the bullets from the g3 are more powerful than the other guns, even if by 2 points, sometimes that is all you need to finish off a guy. My opinion of the gun is its a fun gun to try out and the main thing about it is it's different than the normal stuff.

The m95 is a sniper rifle with power, however, you have to know how to use it properly. You also have to deal with the crappy thick lines of the sights it has, which is probably why most people believe that the m24 is more accurate at range. Chances are really they couldn't see what they were aiming at with these freaking huge lines blocking their target. You also have to know how to aim for distance, as if you put the center of the cross hair on a guys head that is way out there, chances are you will miss. You have to aim a bit higher than normal. You also get to shoot pilots out of air vehicles, but don't let that tempt you, very rarely does a chance like that ever come up in the battlefield. I've done it maybe 5 times. Another problem with it compared to the m24 is the noise, it makes a very loud noise compared to the m24 when fired, making you stand out more.

My opinion about the guns is yes they could be improved, but its just a game. Go with whatever you think you would enjoy more, just remember that you have to learn to use the gun properly before you can truely judge if you like it or not. I hated the m95 when I first got it, but now that i know how to use it, I go back and forth all the time between it and the m24, just depends on what I feel like using.
