THE M95 is a great gun.. people who just don't want to take time to learn how to shoot it will say it sucks, I can do a lot of damage with it but it does take some time and practice but I mean.. it's worth it I love it.Comment

I unlocked the G3 with my first unlock and have been nothing but happy with it. In up-close combat it takes 2-3 shots to kill the enemy. The aim is average and the clip only holds 20 rounds, but I win in close combat 80-90% of the time.

The only weapons, I find to be "true" upgrades are the G36C, PKM, Jackhammer and DOA. The G3, M95 and L85A1 are 'situational' upgrade. The first pack you will ALWAYS pick once you learn the guns, but the second you may or may not depending on your side or map.
If you play medic most of the time, go with L85A1. So far I unlocked M95 and L85A1.
My first unlock was M95, and I regretted when I unlocked it, but now I am loving it. M95 is superior over chinese/MEC sniper in situations where you don't have many targets and not many opportunites to constantly fire at them. It does more damage than M24, especially to armored targets. M24 does more damage to chest on unarmored targets, but less to limbs. You can't take out medics or squads with M95 nor M24 most of the time, but you can with others. The sem-auto rifles are better for area coverage on city maps, but other two are better for opportunistic sniping.
I've tested the L85A1 and I find it to be highly inaccurate. First, it recoils a lot more than the USMC rifle and has less or equal damage to it. Only two shots from burst fire will hit accurately even relatively close range and then you have to wait at least half a second for another burst if you want to hit anything. From distance I snipe better with the USMC rifle even in bursts. This beast will misses too much even at 150m or so. The only two things that are probably good about it: 1) you can do headshots from a block away easily and it's quiet so it doesn't wave and yell "I'M HERE SHOOT ME" :) Again, it's been only a week since I started using it and I may start to like it, but you won't be too thrilled when you get it.Comment

My first unlock was the G3 and i've liked it quite a bit...it may be just me but i hated the grenade launcher, i like grenades better, so it didn't matter to me. secondly, the gun is GREAT down range if you switch modes (single rounds). Very accurate and does great damage, especially up close. 2 - 3 rounds basically does the job in close combat. I find myself using 8 - 15 rounds per medium ranged kill, which means i have to reload, but generally you can find ammo and such. the only problem is that it's hard to get multiple kills greater than 2. in close combat...Comment

I have pretty much narrowed my next unlock down and its gunna be the G3. As bad as the clip capacity and mag counts are, I find it the most effective weapon, as well as the g36c and the pkm, but those both seem alittle ugly for my tastes. I wanted the DAO-12 but its amazing how much it sucks unless you are actually in someones face, I may chill as assault for a while. The M203/GP-30 doesnt bother me as i prefer grenades, so its win with the Gewehr V3.Comment

The G3 is an awful gun. Think about what you're sacraficing - very powerful grenade launcher, 10 bullets, and accuracy.
What do you gain? Well, in terms of damage the AK47 and AK101 are both very close to the G3 in terms of damage, so much so that the extra damage from the G3 is insignificant.
As for the M95 barret - well, I'm not very sure on the weapon. It definately suffers from accuracy problems, more so than the other rifles. The damage however is very satisfying - you're effectively crippling your target with a single hit, and scoring a lethal shot isn't all too difficult. You can shoot helicopter pilots, but it's difficult and you rarely get the oppurtunity.
To be honest, the M24 is more accurate and reliable in my eyes - and both the Chinese rapid-pea shooter and SVD are far more lethal in urban maps than either the M29 or M24.
Just my thoughts - but the best way is to just try the unlocked weapons in Single Player, and form your own opinion on the matter.Comment

i unlocked the c36c 1st and i was more than happy with it, unlock it and you will not be dissapointed. i then unlocked the m95 as i am a seasoned sniper (sniping since the original delta force) i didnt unlock it first cos of what i read about it,i decided it was the worst sniper rifle by far, the m24 is much more precise but slower, the chinese and mec sniper rifles are faster semi-auto but not as accurate as the m24, the m95 is as inaccurate as the chinese and mec rifles, and as slow as the m24, it has all the bad things about all of the sniper rifles combined into 1 gun, with no good things(apart from shooting through helo glass, which is rare to get such an opertunity therfore im not counting it as a good thing)
my advice is stick with the normal sniper rifles, and slightly change your technique to suit, go a bit further out with the m24, go slightly closer in where there is more traffic with the chinese and mec.Comment
