I got a 60 Inch Grand Vega(KDF-60XBR950) that I've been wanting to use as a monitor. Now that I got a decent card with DVI connections, I think I'll do it when I get home. I just gotta move the PC and stuff to the living room. I wonder how good or bad it'll look.
Geez, this game just keeps robbing me of sleep, finishing up a 4 Day work week in about an hour and a half, 12 hours per day at nigh, and I'd rather see this game on my bigscreen than sleep. That's okay, I have the next 4 days off.Comment

All plasma's and large LCD's have some sort of bleed it's due to the high response times, so you get what is technically known as pixle bleed. Decent plasma's have response times as low as 20ms (for the expensive ones) and larger LCD screens (30"+) are around 25ms for example a higher end LCD (DELL Ultrasharp 2405FPW 24") is 16ms, Compare it to a 19" tft at 8ms.
It's not ghosting as such, but when you get fast movement, on the cheaper large LCD and plasma's you get a momentry trail, best thing to do is actually watch Football ... er soccer and watch the ball trail as it wizzes accross the screen against the dark background it's the most noticable.
In my local computer store they have a looped hd video set up of just this hooked up to about 11 different monitors of varying size and pricing and it's amazing the difference you can see between the low response times compared to the massive 30" lcd's
Personally I have two 19" tft/lcd that are 8ms for gaming and a tv that is high end plasma 52" (i'm a home cinema geek as well :P) and I've tried it ... I didn't like it one bit compared to the dedicated monitors, Larger is not always better imo .. quality and presice display are higher prioritys. Too big you lose your concentration on the screen, you can spot things easier on a medium sized screen at high resolution and high graphics.

well here is my 50inch plasma HDTV with bf2 running at native res of 1024x780.. via DVI... BTW the setup is not permanent.. I only did it for about 25min just to see what was up.. I have a regular 23inch apple cinima display I game on..

I have a Samsung HLN467W, 46" DLP set.
Native resolution is 1280x720.
Adding +szx 1280 +szy720 only causes BF2 to IMMEDIATELY quit to the desktop.
Does not work regardless of whether I use DVI or VGA.
There is a ridiculous workaround that is completely unacceptable.
DICE needs to get their head out of their fvcking asses.
Widescreen works, but they need to disable their stupid ass backwards monitor checking "feature" or whatever it is.
