    Momentum

    Anyone else think momentum is a huge factor in this game? When you're on a roll, you're unstoppable! The kills pile up. No one even sees you coming, or if they do your headshot is already on the way! BOOM! Headshot!

    And then...

    All it takes is one lucky arty shell or J-10 bomb, and you're dead. You try to regain your momentum, but your spawn point is getting overrun! Look out! They got you.

    That's ok, I'll spawn back at main and grab some armor to get momentum swinging back in my favor. Oh no! Duck! It's the AH-12! That gun is wicked.

    Oh well, no sweat. Grab the sniper rifle and spawn in on the outskirts. We'll tactically weave our way back into the fight picking off people who'll never know what hit them! Damn, why'd that guy have to be right there...

    Back to the drawing board.

    Seriously, I have found that the first death is the worst one. It's the one where I lose my position on the map and all my momentum. I've had a kill streak as high as 42, but...

    I've had a death streak of 13 twice. 13! Think about that. What a disaster. Talk about not being able to get anything going.

    I don't think it's momentum, it's mental attitude and general mood for playing.

    Times I will do well all night no matter how many deaths I get, but sometimes when I get home from work all I can do is die repeatedly even to noobs :/

      I totally agree. There are times when I'm almost unstoppable and then there are others when I can't buy a kill.

        When things get bad though, sometimes you can't pull out of them. You lose the base you were about to spawn into. Then the next base gets overrun just as you spawn in front of some guy with a PKM unloading in your direction. Spawn back on the carrier and it's getting arty and bombs. Even the best mental attitude is no match for a loss of momentum.

          It's like playing cards...some nights you get all the best pulls, other times you get 2nd place hands all night and come home with an empty wallet.

          Karkand is usually a good place for me to break out of a slump though(assuming the teams are fairly balanced)

            I have no problem with momentum.

            MOMENTUM = ARMOR

              Same as any FPS, sometimes you just get IN THE ZONE.
