    Pilot Whores and intentional TKers

How often have you encountered this?

People hogging the jets constantly then if they find you waiting for the jet they want to respawn they shoot you to get it or if you do get it they shoot you with a rocket before you can take off.

This really winds me up what is it with people? You never get this problem with 'Americas Army'.

What BF2 needs is a stricter TK system as in if someone TK's you within a certain range they get autokicked and banned from the server.

Also getting rid of the 'forgiveing' thing is a good idea too as it will make people be a bit more careful especially if tking means you lose mega points or get banned.

Nice kill/death ratio you have there

So basically you are saying BF2 needs a stricter TK system? LoL you had best put on that flame proof suit as you are going to get flamed badly.

This has been talked about ad nauseum. Until the 1.03 patch comes out, there isn't much you can do but force him to TK you to the point where he gets booted/banned.

And, yeah...that K/D ratio is a little sad. Try tank whoring, I hear it's all the rage.

This morning I was playing FuShe, took a tank and capped the flag at the mine entrance. As I was backing out of the area, I ran over a teamate and killed him -- he didn't punish. A few minutes later I was taking an APC and approaching a flag. Started taking fire and backed up to put a rock between me and the enemy -- in doing so, I backed over another teamate and killed him.

So using your logic I would be kicked and banned?

Don't you think that's a little harsh or, let me guess, EA should just figure out some way for the game to determine what was an intentional TK or an accidental TK?

I think the problem people have with the tk system is that there not used to playing games where you get punished, personally i think its a good thing and should be stricter. If you look at games like AA it is VERY rare for someone to tk intentionally because they'll lose around 300 points (a kill gets you 10 points) and thats if there lucky as the amount of points lost depends on there proximity to the victim.

And yeah i know my kill/death ratio isn't great i've only just started playing and my system lags a bit.

Press the 'c' key till you find the rear view ... helps 'not running over your teammates' :P

I actually think the TK system is ok, but they need to tweak a few things ... like friendly mines, which in no way can you control a fast moving vehicle coming around a corner and running right over them... who's fault is that? No ones.

Er yes but what about the accidental TK's?

The examples Rafterman give happen all the time. Vehicles TK players who just graze them and you often do not even see them.

Players run out in front of you while you are driving full speed in a buggy and even stopping as fast as you can you TK them.

Team mates run over friendly mines no matter how or where you place them.

Team mates run into friendly fire all the time.

I am guessing you don't play on the ground much going by how unfamilar you are with just how easy it is to TK by accident. I suggest you spend some time out of the planes playing the game before making suggestions on the TK'ing system and then perhaps you will realise your error.

The biggest problem with TK's and accidentaly killing yourself, centers around vehicals, mostly. I too have killed myself, along with a whole host of others while in a tank, buggy, etc. What the game needs done is simply not give a tk out while driving slowly. In other words if your in a tank and just TURN. No movement other than turning and a guy is there. You will kill him. Although realistic, is not fun for gameplay.
There should be a speed factor buit in. Moving full throttle, you will KILL the enemy or kill a team mate. Moving fairly slowly......no kill. Make sense?

So I started to run them over as soon as they throw that crap on me or I get out an tk them I mean come on how rude is that, you need a ride and them some idiot c-4s it so you can do all the work, no thanks...

Damn, that is so simple, yet so amazing. For clan battles especially. I can see it now. A heavily defended flag. You sacrifice one of your own to do the dirty. To drive the buggy into the flag area. Then another blows is up accordingly. While a squad goes in to take the flag. Damn good idea.
That said, i understand what you are saying..hehe sucks.

Claymores and AT mines are just TK bait...I don't use them at all anymore.

If I get tk'ed accidentally, say getting run over accidentally, etc. is fine with me, I don't punish. What really ticks me off is the people who just don't care. Just the other day in fact, I was playing with some clan members in Mashtuur City and we were about to take a flag and there were a few MEC guys coming, not to worry though, here comes the BH and a gunner who just unloads on the whole flag killing, among the MEC enemies, my entire squad of clanmates. We were easy to see with our blue names above our head, but no, he just mows the whole flag down without any care for killing teammates.

No "sorry" or no "that was my fault", no he just flys on to the next flag.

So thats what really pisses me off, is those people who just don't care, those are the people I always punish.

A tk system that forgives less isn't going to be wise until the person who actually does the tk's is sorted out correctly.

The person in the back of a blackhawk should not be responsible for 4 tks if the pilot runs into a tree.

Things need sorted out in the tk system. Not that no one has said that before.
