There should be some kind of "limitations" to punishement.

If you die running or driving on your friends mines, it's your fault, i dont even see WHY the punishment option is there in those cases. When people are too blind to look where they walk, they should have double death count for this instead of punishing the mines dropper.

I also hate the artillery punishments. I use to play commander alot lately, i dont move, i dont kill, i help my mates win the battles with scans, supplies, drones and battle orders. I do indeed drop an artillery shot, but very rarely.

"best" example of stupid punishement was yesterday. We were at the edge of getting the 5th point of a 6 flags map. I decided to launch an arty in the 6th point, knowing the baddies would respawn there and NONE of my team members were close. I do launch, and even take the time to write a message in front of everyone's screen saying arty was about to land there (on top of the nice red glowing artilley icon on the mini map). Between the time of the order and the actual landing of the arty shots, a nice little friendly jeep rides through to the bombing spot, full speed. Of course to my great luck, 3 people of the same clan were in that jeep and got killed at the same time, resulting in three (3!) punishment for me.
Those same 3, about 5 minutes later also died on a friendly mine, i guess it tells how well they look before them or at the map..or even at their "friends" messages

Ah the good old tk system now me I always forgive unless its done on purpose or its a damn stupid tk and if I tk I always try and say sorry (there should be a key mapped for this). I have team killed afew times but have never done it on purpose and I must admit that some of the time it was really stupid tk's (My Fault) and desever the punishment but the one that gets me is when I play as commander and I drop artillery on the enemys, I tell the squad leaders what am doing and type to the others to take cover, This command works like a magnet as all players on my side run towards the artillery strike and then comes then punishment and the mutiny.

So to all I tk sorry and to all when you see artillery please run the other way.

As I said in my post the causes of TKs need to be corrected as much as the system of punnishment.

Yesterday I was piloting a black hawk and a plane blew us up. I was charged with 2 TKs and one of the idiots in my BH punished me! I mean does this guy think I killed him? What a Jerk! I'd like to find a good server without stupid little kids playing. just people who like to have fun and use thier brains.

EA certainly plans on addressing this issue in the 1.03 patch.
Hopefully we can give them some good ideas(they do read these forums btw), and in the end they'll update the game with a TK system that we can all live with, or even better, more flexible TK options server-side.
Example:
Punish Settings(TK/TK+punish)
High: like it is now, -4/-4 base, -6/-6 if punished, -4/-4 if forgiven
Medium: -4/-4 base, -6/-6 if punished, -2/-2 if forgiven
Low: -4/-4 base, -5/-5 if punished, -1/-1 if forgiven
Full Forgive: -2/-2 base, -3/-3 if punished, 0/-1 if forgiven(based on ticket loss)
