Display Name Orange???? and shortened!

Hey guys, Im new to this forum so be gentle lol. I have asked the same question on other forums and no one seems to be able to help. So here goes.

I have an account name of [1MC]|5|Chaintech which I use now and again when I play for my clan. In game this name shows up on player screen and kills in top left corner of screen as [1MC]|5|tech and the tech bit is in orange, its really pissing me off as thats not my name. However if someone looks at me in game my name above my head is the full version. I dont know why this has happened and I dont know how to fix it so could someone help?

I also have a account name as just Chaintech which I use on public servers and that works fine.

Any ideas?

I had this problem before and I know how to solve it. In the demo my name was se|cha0tic and my name was orange and apparently I learned that names with a "c" have this problem unless you put something before the "c" and so when the full version came out the easiest way to fix this was putting a period in front of the "c". My name now, like in my sig, is se|.cha0tic and the problem is solved.

Now that I think of it, it might have something to do with the "|" in our clan tags because both of our clans have that.

The person who killed you, or someone on the server had the chyper filter in their name.

it is because in your name is a |C _ _ _ _

try putting a space after the | and before the C in your name and it might fix it, if not, put something other then C after the | to make it not change color.
