How do you change squad names?

I've had a good search around and can't really find anything on it. I've done it once accidentally but wasn't sure how I did it.

about the same way you change your username:

remove, readd.

In the squad menu, you press one of the buttons at the bottom. Isn't it "Custom" or something?

Yes it is. That was surely a case of 'RTFM' - I forgot I had one with BF

"custom squad" to set a specific name and lock it if you wish

"manage squad" to invite or kick players from the squad
