Battlefield 2' Second Addon In The Works?

While Battlefield 2: Special Forces has barely been announced and is not yet available, European online retail store World of Games seems to reveal that there is already a second addon for DICE's online shooter in the works. While the product listing does not have any specific details, or even a product name apart from Battlefield 2 Addon 2, it does however list the new addon as scheduled for March 2006. Truth or not, time will tell....

I am beginning to think that bf2 will have as many addons as the sims had.In way it's good cause they know if they want to see the addons they need to patch to bf 2. But addons that are coming out like warm bread means that they are gonna have a lot of bugs. Like BF v

Digital Illusions signs a new contract for the development of a PC game within the shooter genre. Publisher is Electronic Arts. The game is based on Digital Illusions’ brand and is planned for a spring 2006 debut.

- Digital Illusions is in a strong position within the PC game market. The game is expected to generate royalty incomes to the Company during 2006, said Patrick Söderlund, CEO at Digital Illusions.

The development of the PC game will take place at the Company’s Canadian studio. Digital Illusions receives a development budget from the publisher Electronic Arts.

The game is planned for a spring 2006 debut. So far the product is untitled.

It would be cool if it was something with new guns, vehicles, maps, armys, etc. sept its not an expansion, it just adds to the game. Like those patches they made in 42 with the new maps and whatnot. This is what they do with MMORPGS. Your pay for the addons with your 15$ a month. Would be cool imo.

It will be a long day in hell before I buy another EA/DICE game.
