What is a TOW?

hey guys im going for the ribbon i need 5 kills in a TOW. not sure exactly what a tow is? can someone explain and tell me the bestmap for it?

I got my ground defence badge and ribbon on Operation Clean sweap, at the very start of the game, I took a jeep from the furthest north MEC base to the TOW launcher on the right hand peninsula. I was taking out everything that was coming from their base by sea, I had 14 points within a few mins. Just shoot at the boats and APC's as they come through the middle gap between the two small islands near the American respawn. :p

anti armor thing on the ground with 1 missile i actually got the groudndefence just stay in for 10 mins and u got it for air defence i got aswell just stay in the defensive battery on the essex or stay in the stinger for 10 mins

You can use the mounted MG instead of the TOW. Play Strike at Karkand (USMC), and just use the mounted MG by the right artillery spawn. Use it for 3 minutes, get 5 kills and the ribbon is yours.

The Standoff map with China vs. USMC and tons of fog. There's a TOW near the 2nd/3rd USMC base planted on an opening ground bridge flank. You can literally lay waste to APCs without them seeing you. Racked up well over 11 TOW kills at the end of the game, and it almost got me a medal too.
