i think its really wierd that bf2 has no officers. like i think no matter ur points it would be cool if u played commmander enought so that ued aUTomatically become 2nd lt. or maybe the csm each month should become one.... i no u dont want a gajillion officers so thats just my thoughts..

That would be a pretty cheap way of becoming an officer. Before you know it. Their wouldn't be any enlisted guys. -

even if u did have a shortage of officers as u say, it wouldn't change the game at all. so unless if u want to add more ranks to the game, having no officers isn't that big of a problemComment

they should keep the enlisted ranks and add the officer ranks so that what seargent major is right now would be general....and then split it up evenly....that wouls solve the problem of not haveing enough ranks becuase instead of going 10000K for a rank you would go 5K or something...in otherwords...make then same number of officer ranks as their are enlisted and everyone levels up 2 times as fast.Comment

yes maby that would work maby after you became a corpral you could choose to start playing as an officer of continue as an enlisted. eather way it dosn't really matter its only statsComment

Then everyone would want to be an officer. They could just add on more ranks, but only go up to colonel because you dont see any generals on the battlefield. And then you can add unlocks such as an officer pistol.Comment

i think that all along they invisioned a system that they would continue to update with patches.....it says that not jsut weapons but also items will be unlockable, in addition to future weapon upgrades....i think its all one giant plot to keep people buying/playing the game for much time to come. they simply release some new stuff to download in a patch that lets u unlock a new gun or something....there is lots of stuff thats 1/2 way encoded int he game they never got around 2....im just hopefull it comes in a patch and not some expansion pack.Comment

if your an officer in real life, they have the most boringest and safest job. they just sit , figure out tactics, plans. do paper work. i mean unless u want to do that in BF2 i would suggest not asking for any. the only fun officers i know of is Airforce. cause they can actualy fly the jets. now colonels, and higher up ranks is an even boringer jobComment

not true. lieutenants and captains regularly lead their men on the field. the desk-job officers u speak of are usually, as u said, from colonel and up.Originally posted by Sniper_13if your an officer in real life, they have the most boringest and safest job. they just sit , figure out tactics, plans. do paper work. i mean unless u want to do that in BF2 i would suggest not asking for any. the only fun officers i know of is Airforce. cause they can actualy fly the jets. now colonels, and higher up ranks is an even boringer job
and besides, if an enemy starts shelling your hq with mortars, i dont think anybody is safe, officer or not :pComment
