Flag bug or cheater

Yesterday I was playing on a server and one of the middle flags on Songhua Stalemate was stuck on grey. The red wouldnt change over to blue. ( I was playing as USMC) I thought it was just a random bug, but all the other people that were on my team started saying that there was a cheater on the chinese team and he/she was a hacker and must have been "under the map". I told them that it probably wasnt true, but they just kept trying to kick vote players off the chinese team one by one. Have any of you had this bug or "cheater'?

I think it was a flag bug.

bug. pull everybody out of range and then go back in range again. usually fixes it.

wacky. I had this problem too once or twice. Asked the commander to do a scan. NOthing. I spotted myself, nothing. Looked more then most would, nothing. Lots of our guys standing there.

I suspect it was the friendly/enemy name tag bug that did it. Thats what im thinking. The game thought one of our friendlies, was an enemy and thus wouldnt allow the flag to change.

Yeah, I've had this happen before. Going out of range and trying again fixes it.

What's even weirder though.

I was playing on Kubrah Dam one time, capturing the Middle Dam Flag by myself.. Nobody around.. I would capture it, and as soon as I stepped out of range, the flag would shoot down and recapture itself for the other team like there were 6 people standing around it.

I'd try again.. Capture.. Only to have it recapture itself! Needless to see, we didn't win that round. =p

ya happend to me too... my teams flag was all the way at the top of the pole yet the flag was still gray...

I'm not THAT dumb. Believe me, after about the third time of it recapturing itself, I had looked in every corner and so on. There's only so many places you can hide in the flag radius. Espiecally with the amount of speed it was being recaptured. I think it was just a weird bug(nothing that shouldn't surprise any of us BF2 players!). =\

Try looking underneath the dam in the open tunnel. If you park in there with a tank or APC you can cap the flag from underneath. If they had a full APC and a tank w/ a gunner then it's pretty hard to keep them from capping it.

i have had kinda the opposit problem, i was way away from the flag, and all of a sudden i started capping it. i was kinda worried people would call me a hacker so i ran away

Try looking underneath the dam in the open tunnel. If you park in there with a tank or APC you can cap the flag from underneath. If they had a full APC and a tank w/ a gunner then it's pretty hard to keep them from capping it.

You can also capture up above a little bit in that area with all the steel spike things sticking out. I've been in a blackhawk when the pilot flew us through there to get the flag. I thought he was nuts or hotdogging at first when we was hovering in that area.
