After i played a bf2 game i started a program whos called crapcleaner. It cleans cookies and more stuff. When i hade scanned the computer i found that i had 500 mb off ****. And that's after playing for 4 hours of bf2 on the internet. So if you want more harddrive space scann you computer for temporary internet files.

BF2 doesn't give your computer cookies....That's all the porn you look at before you go to play.
Run your crapcleaner, then run Ad-aware, then run Spybot S&D.
Also it sounds like you guys are probably computer noobs ( not to be blunt ) so once you actually install a huge game like BF2 you should do the following:
1. Install
2. Change your video/audio settings accordingly.
3. Run the game for the first time.
4. When all loading is done, let the game "smooth out" and Quit the game.
5. Run "disk cleanup" and then "defragment".
6. Reboot and watch your game fly.Comment

Nope...Not how the system works....at all.Originally posted by OggenMaybe not cookies but stuff in the temprorary internt stuff takes like a 100 mb after playing 3 hrs.
Temporary internet "stuff" ( I think you were trying to say ) builds up from use of the internet, not bf.
The only cache files that build up are the server logo's...and that's like 100k per which would mean that 10 would = 1MB. Unless you played on 1000 servers in 3 hours, there ain't 100MB of temp.
Its your porn collection.

I still suggest a defrag at least once every two days (if BF2 is played). Just look at the fragmentation reports. I watched mine after I started playing BF2, and the percentage of fragmentation took a leap. Thus, it's a good idea to defrag at least once every two days.Comment

Just out of curiosity, why would you feel the need to bump someone else's topic?Originally posted by skuppersp.s. The edit button is for editing not bumping.Comment

Re: Bf2 is taking you hardrive space!
The temp file that bf2 uses is found here
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp
The actual file usually starts with a ~e xxx
I usually delete this file when done playing or just before playing.
MOHAA used the same file.
Crap cleaners etc should delete this by default.
To see it you may need to check Show hidden files.
Tools/Folder options/view/Show hidden files and folders.Comment

Re: Bf2 is taking you hardrive space!
i doubt bf2 messes with your comp that much. Just run AdAware to sweep the dust out. Don't worry about freaking harddrive space unless u have a 5 Gb harddrive and 200Mb's free. If that is so then buy a 100Gb drive for $75 online.Comment
