    Older Version + patch error

I tried searching on forums before posting but couldn't find any results, so i've resorted to making yet another thread that's probably been addressed before. Sorry in advance.

    Now, onto my problem/s.
I'm not too computer savvy, in fact I don't quite know what i'm doing so bare with me here. When i first installed the game, i got the "Please Ensure Battlefield 2 Disc is inserted in drive. OK" error. I changed some settings, something having to do with nvidia and PIO and i got it working. I could play fine but I did want to get the latest version so i tried patching V.1.02. I then tried launching via desktop but got some other error, so tried going into the file and launching using the .exe but kept getting file missing errors even though upon looking for the files, they were there. I researched and found this: http://www.213.dk/ and was successful. (game launched, was playable etc.) *oh yeah i also updated punkbuster and got rid of the cache files etc, as found in the sticky on top of this page.*

Now the problem I'm having is that I only have a server list of about 60 when using the "Same version" filter. If i try a different server, (excluding zboards and a few others that have the unmodified content thing) it shows up in red and says that i have an older version and i can't get on. I'm really gettin miffed cause I'm missing out on the few thousand servers out there.
This game is awesome, but the many times i've had to reinstall and etc. makes it seem not worth it. I would definately appreciate some advice if anyone who knows what they're doing can help me out, I can provide more specific information if necessary. Thanks in advance, Wrongo9

You may have to re-install the patch, alot of people report that the patch although it installs, it doesn't really do the full job.

Also, just hang in there, DICE Sweden is working on a massive patch that solves 140+ things that people have been having problems with. It is currently in testing and is due out the end of August.
