Crazy Flashing Ness

well ive been playing over the past few days and odd little thingys began to pop up...

like the text is all blobs, funny colors and stuff...

then a few minutes ago i was playing and a odd blue bar started flashing by where the console would go... just randomly started then went away a few minutes later...

then its like the grafx just froze.... like all the noise was goin and but text of kills was all overwritten and thats when i killed the power...

whats goin on?

Sounds like there is something wrong with your gpu...

Yup. Try reinstalling your graphics drivers, and backing off any overclocking that you have.

i dont overclock.... only cause i dont kno how... any help on that would be nice for when i get the 6800

Well then, uninstall your drivers and run Driver Cleaner 3 (Google it) per his instructions on his website. Then re-install the latest Nvidia drivers and see if that doesn't help things.

Is this the card you have? I haven't heard anything on Apallo as a re-seller, but the 6800GT is a good card. Although many users with this card seem to have problems with BF2.

Well the 6800GT is a good card, but.....If I were paying that much for a card I'd go with a reputable re-seller.

Make sure you have the correct interface, either PCI-E, or AGP, and get a card by a well known maker such as XFX, BFG, or something like that.

XFX, BFG, PNY, etc. Just go to newegg.com when you are ready.

You have a heat issue. You are seeing artifacts (weird grafical glitches) and then your GPU overheats and freezes/reboots. You need to underclock your vid card or get better cooling.

If this is at stock speeds though, you should RMA it and get a new one.
