unreliable radar

do some classes not show up on radar at all ??? when im bombing with a plane i look off of radar to make sure teammates arent around.. but for some reason im still kiling teammates !!! is anyone else expericing this ??

You know how the name tags only show up at a certain distance? I've this theory that things don't show on the minimap until the same kind of distance either (at least when travelling at 'high' speed typical of air vehicles).

I've only caught this actually happening once. Look ahead, see APC, no tag, look at minimap JUST as it appears out of nowhere on there. Unless an enemy jumped out and my team mate in at that moment ....

And then of course there's the problem (which I've not tested myself, I'm trusting what others have said, plus some circumstantial evidence of my own) of a friendly player being in an enemy vehicle, and thus showing up as an enemy on the ground attack HUD .

Ah yes, this was a well-known problem in BF1942 (dunno about BF:V as I refused to buy it).

I've not consciously seen the same problem in BF2, but I might just be 'ignoring' it as I got so used to it in BF1942 :/.

yea I got punished for a tk the other day. looked at the minimap. no uav showing enemies and no blue dots. so I just just bombed it anyways hoping some enemy would be there. then I was punished. wierd heh

man if all the games in the world would play a game with ranking on the most bugs bf2 would be seargeant by now eh?

I did a scan and showed nobody next to me on the map.. then I got shot up from a guy who came up to me... weird

well i know for sure that the enemy spec ops will no show up on your uav..

er no. uav always show the spec op guys that blows up my assets.

If your talking about the jet's hud, it is has some faults built into it. This is probably the biggest reason your getting tks... when a teammate leaves his vehicle, it shows up as unfriendly for a few seconds on your hud. My way around it, check your minimap over and make sure there are no friendlies in the base before you drop your big steamy load into it, if their are friendlies there, don't bother dropping them.
