I've started playing BF2 again after not playing it for a few days, now when I join a game, it crashes to the desktop when the bar gets to 'Geometries'. I have installed new graphics card drivers since I last played, but I find it hard to believe that's what stops the game loading. Anyone know what's going wrong?

well roll back the drivers and see what happens -
This is what solved my stutter/lag and jumpy pings. Check your memory timings and voltage. I have a 1gb of geil and was about to buy another stick. I turned up my voltage to 2.75 and went to t1-2-3-6-5. All is good and very happy to be playing again.Comment

Re-install and clean your drivers using Driver Cleaner3 (Google!) per the instructions on his website.Comment
