Game crashes and cant connect to account server.

Hey,

Today I formatted my PC, installed my drivers and bf2. When I run Play BF2 Online Now! and select my account it says .. Connecting to account server.. and the game freezes (cursor keeps turning). Nothing happens.

When I use gamespy it passes the connecting to account server in a few seconds to the loading screen. But when I play for some time (sometimes 15 min, sometimes 50 min) and change a camera (i think that's always what happens) the game crashes (not even a windows XP msg, just back to the normal screen).

I already tried:
-Updating Punkbuster
-Patching
-Using Nvidia drivers from the DVD.

I got a legal version btw, my pc: AMD 54 3400, 6600GT 256MB with 1GB memory. Any suggestions to make this game work?

Same problem as you. I load up BF2 its connecting to account server and it just hangs there. Twice i had to press the power button to be able to get back to my desktop. I often wonder if this game was worth buying with all the problems it has.

I bought it this morning, I read somewhere that the new patch will have 150 fixes, I expect both of my problems to be fixed. EA dont wanna ruin their reputation, since they are huge.
