well I did it on the US air craft carrier, and what I did is I went down to the shipping bay or docks or whatever you want to call it under the ship with those two boats. I held my sprint going forward and jump into the water all whiling hold the sprint key. and when you land you shuold have your gun out and can walk on the water.. it's pretty fun

Not sure if this is what your talking about, but you can walk around inside the wetdock a bit. Did you make it past the wetdock while doing this? -
they made it so you can do that after the demoComment

it's because it's shallow in that part, i've landed a blackhawk in there, but make sure it's BETWEEN the docks.Comment

I've landed the chopper on the water in there too. Kinda funny looking
There are actually little areas in there to walk on. If you keep walking, you'll fall off
