'Error Reading From The Search Server'

alright, i've redownloaded/installed the BF2 Demo over and over...i don't know what the problem is.i make my account perfectly fine, and when i hit 'Log In' i get an error message saying

"Error reading from the search server"

i've opened up the ports that are needed for gamespy/bf2 but it keeps coming back.

i really wanna play this game...i've played the single player demo just to make sure it actually worked on my PC, and it runs smoothly...only thing holding me back from buying it is this message.

I have the same problem on the full version. Its really frustrating! :wall:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
