Some computer parts I want opinions on....

Ok here are some parts I will be getting very soon. I would just like some opinions on. I really only need help with the mobo, ram, gpx card and cpu. The rest I can take care of. I dont have much money to spend. This is probally my max on these items.

All of the parts are good, but I would recommend getting 2 gigs of ram and a x800 XL

Believe me. If I had the money I would get 2 Gigs as well. As for the X800XL, the best I could probally do is an X800PRO.

What HDD you geting,

As I have taken all parts outa my old comp,
I have a 40GB HDD and 1 X 512mb RAM to get rid of.

Personally I'd go for the 6800GT over the X800 PRO. It runs opengl games much better and is equal if not a small amount better on every other level. PLus it's got shader model 3 which the X800 doesn't so for future games and in particular Unreal Engine 3 games (which we should all be excited about) it has the edge.

I'd also go for the 3000+ CPU and overlclock it to a 3800+. This will save you some cash.

Get 2 Gigs of RAM if you can afford it.

dont get an x800 pro, get an x800xl b/c it has 4 more pipelines

hes fine i have like the exact same setup...and i think the x800 pro can be "flashed" to a x800 xt. i havent tryed it yet...im getting great prefrormance though

the 3500+ venice costs about $290 at newegg, get it... oh, and a good hsf too, you might want to OC a little...
