I would suggest you back up/burn any files you want to save and do a clean install of Windows XP. The Windows install is configured for that exact hardware so when you install a new motherboard with new ram, video card, etc, all with different drivers/settings Windows could get very confused and cause many conflicts. So it is best to start out fresh to minimize the chance of problems

o ok, either way is gonna cause conflict o well lol. thanks for the help

Edit: oh and is it possible to just install the hardware start up windows and see how well it goes from there. If it doesnt go well I can just re-install windows. Because when I upgraded the pc from a emachines motherboard which fried. I installed a different motherboard, and new video card and it all went without a hickup.

Most likely, Windows will through a fit, but its worth a try, it won't harm anything.
