The one time I emailed EA for tech support for BF2 I got a bot-email saying they'd get back to me in one business day. It took two or three, and then it was just a cut-and-paste job from their FAQ/Knowledge-base which I'd already seached online.
I ended up solving the problem myself and emailing THEM with the solution.
That EA charges for phone support is a rip off, especially if (as in my case) we're doing their jobs for them. I've been a fan of EA for their previous games, but I don't get the feeling that they're troubleshooting ANYTHING for BF2. It feels like the communites, especially this one, are doing the beta-testing and troubleshooting for EA while the company continues to rush out flawed patches (and the upcoming expansion pack) without getting the core product right.
Anybody else get this feeling or am I just particularly disgruntled?
