Edit: oh now i get it, its because if with rockets the first one that gets in bh, he would fly away, no pick up anybody.
And it would be hard for the mini gun shooters to aim and shoot, because the one flying bh would just fly hard and shoot with the rockets.
I am glad they took it out.

I still can't get over how rediculously underpowered the machineguns on the MEC/Chinese helos are. It's awful, I don't think I've ever seen anyone get a kill with those things while moving..

managed to get one kill so far with them

...but that was only cos it was a sniper about 10 ft away from me

i hit the cobra or the mech chopper with a tank and all it does is add some smoke to the chopper.
it took half demage.

You can't kill a person with the Barrett let alone shoot down the venerable BH with it!

I did down a Cobra with the RPK last night. He had some previous damage, but not too bad. 4 drums of ammo later.......

regardless of what they think about gameplay issues i think its pretty damm lame that they show lots of screenshots with it.

Damm its even in one of the pics on the back of the BF2 box ...thats kinda like false advertising if you ask me

Totally true! They need to fix that in the next patch. All the armies should have a BH style transport chopper.

they are random so if oyu hit refresh they change .... but im guessing your talking about the one with the eye's ?

that chopper has thick armor in real life and would balance out this game

Over armored yes but not over powered. The thing has mini guns on it that would would rip a person to pieces irl. Before you jump the band wagon let me say I am not comparing the game to real life as the game does not focus on real life in the first place (medal plz?) but for a helicopter to take 3 AT rockets to shoot it down is stupid to say the least.
