Can anyone point me in the direction of a good weapon list that also displays the technical name? I dont know a lot about guns and stuff like that, ive never even seen a gun in real life, well apart from old ones in museums so when the game says I got killed by a P6 or a S12 or an M16 or what ever they are I dont have a clue. Also if any Dice people are reading this it would be cool to have a simple mode where it would say you got killed by a sniper rifle, assault rifle or land mine. I think the only one I know for sure is a knife :p

I don't know the Chinese weapons all that well...
Assault - Colt M16A2 assault rifle w/ M203 grenade launcher, AK-101 assault rifle w/ GP-30 launcher, AK-47 w/launcher, Unlock: G3.
Anti-Tank - H&K MP5 submachine gun, SRAW rocket launcher, PP-19 SMG, Unlock: DAO-12 Automatic Shotgun
Engineer - S12K is MEC autoshotty, i forget which one US uses but it's a pump action shotgun, Unlock: Jackhammer, autoshotty
Sniper - M24 sniper rifle for US, SVD sniper rifle for MEC, Unlock: M95 Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle
Spec. Ops. - Colt M4A1 carbine, AKS-74u carbine, Unlock: G36C commando carbine
Support - M249 light machine gun, RPK-74 LMG, Unlock: PKM LMG
Medic - Colt M16A2, AK-101, AK-47, Unlock: British SA80 series L85A1
Pistols: Berreta M92F, FK-444Comment

Ok thanx guys that explains some of it. The ones I am still not sure on are, Type 85, Type 88, Type 95, PP-19, M11-87, NOR-982 and QBZ-97. Just to make it clear, I dont want a list of what weapons are available or what the stats are for them, I just want to know what they are, for example I now know that an MP5 is a sub machine gun and an M4 is an assult rifle.Comment

yeah, the all the 'Type **' Weapons confuse me a little, but you just gotta play as China and you'll learn the weapon's sounds and names quickly. Try out all the classes and learn their weapons name's.
Damn those complicated chinese military types with their obsession with guns that are called 'Type' followed by a random number!Comment

type 85 = pla anti-tank smg.
nor-982 = pla engineer shotty.
qbz-97 = pla spec ops carbine.
type 95 = pla support piece of crap.
type 88 = pla sniper rifle.
pp-19 = mec anti-tank shotty.
m11-87 = usmc engineers shotty.
you have the game right? well once again, just look them up in the bfhq tab in the in-game interface.
