    BF2 Recorder question

How can I set it up on my own server. Like from the same machine type deal. I looked and couldn't find it on the forum. I remember seeing you could do it without needing an FTP if you do it through the game. I also was wondering if theres a guide to explain how to do it on a rented server non ranked. How does BF2 recorder work exactly it just records the whole battlefield and you can free fly around when your done and choose what you want to save to a file or what? What i'd like to do is record on Strike At Karkand with bots on SP and record the bots fighting for a video I plan on doing.

To make your own server from your pc go to:

      Multiplayer,
      Create Local
Then select maps, time, tickets etc...
      load up the game

As for bf2 recorder you record your movements etc,
To record type in the console which is ` demo.recorddemo
      to stop recording type demo.stoprecording

      Hope that help$

The demo files are created and stored in this path C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos

To be able to play these back inside BF2 you need to move the files from the above folder to this path C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos

Alright thanks for that ok so I got it but how do I make it so that it only shows the parts I want it to. This is like the whole game and I can switch to different people and what not I want to follow one or two people but record this and then convert it to avi.

            To GU lizard
I made a tutorial locoted at this link

This will get you going in single player Battle recorder, as for on line they don't (never) always download.
