agreed today is friday and friday release are what they are known for.
where are the goods...

i know eh, i was waking up every week saying to myself "hopefully the mod tools are out today" and i was almost confident that it was going to come out today and where is it? but remember ea is in redwood city and its 3 o clock there so give it another maybe 4 hours and possibly we could see them

Technically its been 7 DAYS. I guess EA tricked us, because they can use however many weeks they want, it'll still be days...

i guess upuntill 14days i can accept.. since im not that desperate to get the tools.. especially if there full of bugs

i was very disapointed that they wernt released with the game :/ but then again ive seen how buggy they are now... just imagine how bad they were back then :/

i thank EA for updating us on the mod tools, and actually trying to fix the bugs they found, but they sure love keeping us waiting. :p

Days ahead... i know things happen, but when the mod tools were to be released before the game, and the first release date for hte game was in November 04, there are some major problems with them... things happen, but they took themselves 7 extra months to release the game, and they delayed the release 2x from nov- march-june. Its not fair what they have been doing.

Since we've finally been given the ok to talk publically about the editor...it's coming. We are heavy into documentation, testing, and tweaking. The map editor takes a bit getting used to and is not as easy to use as BC42 and BCV.

Was anyone here involved in modding for BF1942? EA gave absolutely no assistance until one of the modders was close to finishing his own map editor. They then hired him and delayed the release for several more months. Someone else finally wrote a functioning editor before BattleCraft 42 came out.

At this point, I'm just happy to hear that we won't be completely in the dark as far as mapping is concerned.

No ive already used the BETA tools cause Im part of the DiceCity crew, but by golly they suck. I sure hope the Public release of the tools is better. This thing is all over the place and sucky touchups that they did at last minute.
