Yet another stat question

Hi everyone. just a quick question. When i look at my stats, in the kit info it says i have 1028 points but i am still private 1st class. How ever when i look at the leaderboards it says i only have 941 points. Is this happening to any one else. i really wanted a weapon unlock lol.
