Upgrade prob from ATI9800 to GForce 6800

I have upgraded my video card from an ATI 9800AIW AGP to a GForce 6800GT OC 256MB AGP. Now when I start BF2 it drop back to the desk top immediatly after the first splash screen.

    I re-installed BF2 and I am using nvidia drivers 77.72

    any ideas?

    Rest of system

    Athlon XP3000+
    1 Gig Cosair Mem
160GB HD with 80 more in RAID 0 (where BF2 resides)
    SB Audigy 2

I'll assume you uninstalled and cleaned the ATI drivers?

Try the latest beta drivers. 77.76 I think they are. Some people say they take care of a lot of problems.

This happend to me aswell just a few days back, It's because you have new hardware, especially a graphic card. It's not the graphic drivers. But rather the game itself. Make sure you UNINSTALL the game, COMPLETELY. Thus leaving no Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents.

Thanks, that was the fix. Actually I just went in and deleted Battlefield 2 from My Documents folder. I figured I would give it a shot. It is running but started up like when I first bought it.

I checked, BF2 created a new profile and such in My Documents.

            Much faster then uninstall/reinstall/patch/update PB/

            Thanks again. :)

77.72 drivers are way old. 77.30 was shipped with the game.
