IF YOU CRASH TO DESKTOP or RESTART READ
If your crashing to desktop after a few minutes of playing on mulitplayer or a short play on multiplayer try this.
Down load NVIDIAS Latest BETA driver located above the normal driver box.
Delete the old driver, restart, reinstall the new one, restart,
delete the BF2 folder located in my documents. YES everything.
Restart BF2 if you black screen then restart your computer and then BF2 will run. Now login multiplayer, go to options, video and set your game to this

Try this and see if you can play longer. The problem seems to be in the shading/textures, a new driver and patch is probably/definitely needed.
Its NOT, repeat NOT your perfectly running computer before you installed this game. Have fun Good Luck. ^^That may not apply to every computer! LOL If you don't meet minimum specs.
