cheat or bug: enemy with blue name

i couldnt find any info on this apart from the one where friendlys are some times shown as an enemy which is obviously a bug but today on karkand i seen an enemy with a blue name, i was realy suprised by it as i see the blue name first then he walks up and starts shooting the hell out of me, right away i think god damn tk'er then i look at the chat area to find i was not team killed but killed by the enemy. much confusion. anyone else had this ?

Idk. It might be a hack/mod. In Halo PC, one time these blue guys would spawn at my base (blue) and then suddenly turn red and start shooting me. The color would actually visually change right before my eyes. Maybe it's the same type of thing.

Its a bug, it happens less frequently then it did in the demo, but it does occur. EA is aware and I'm sure it will be addressed in 1.03 due out at the end of August.

It's a bug related to the autobalance, I believe. I think they said it was fixed in 1.02, but I still see it now and then... works both ways -- friendlies wearing red names and enemies with blue tags.

ok thanks, i thought it was one of those hacks you see like an enemy with a model/texture hack making himself look like hes on your side

I saw this the other day. I spawned in at a flag, and a helo was spinning up. I saw a blue name over it, so I started running tawards it and hit "Give me a ride" and it takes off.

A squad member was next to me by then and I made the comment that he didn't wait for me.

My squad member said, "an enemy just stole the helo".

So, I saw blue, while a squad member saw red.
