How's your loading time for BF2?

my computer is nothing special, but I load faster then most. top 10 loaders usually.

My load time is medium, but for some reason my Data Verification takes like freaking 8 -10 minutes.....its ****ing insane. Im tired of it.

It's a bit weird for me, I have 2 gb of corsair and load tiomes for me were great until the 2nd patch. Now they are still quick but have slowed down a bit, and it seems to use a fair bit more of the ram than it did. Can't moan too much though, I am still in within 1-1.20min.
With my original 512mb it was more like 5-10 minutes and my hard disk was sopinning into meltdown.

All wrapped up in a shuttle case (with the case off coz of the dual slot graphics ard till i finish modding the case)

1GB of some crappy RAM
10GB Fujitsu 5400RPM sys disk where bf2 is installed.
Map load takes about 1min max but the verifying client data takes several minutes!
it sucks and it pisses me off now. when I get in ppl have 25 points and half the map has been capped.

The thing that bugs me is when u sign on with ur username...this seems to take me about 5mins!! I just dont get it? With cs to log on takes seconds.

My wireless connec light goes mad for the 5 mins as well, so i know its d/l or doing something just cant think what, why would so much info need to be sent/rec just to log on!?

Hmmm...It seems that running RAID is all the difference. Which makes sense with PB and all scanning the crap out of your gamefiles. I Have:

AMD 3200+
6800GT - but AGP
ASUS KN8E-Deluxe
1 Gig of Corsair
120G HD
Blah blah blah...

Overall I'm pretty slow loading a map. Almost all of my friends are faster getting into games. I've tried defragmenting, reformatting, creating partitions for just my games...nothing. I'm still usually one of last to get in. I don't what else I can do.

Oh and I'm 26 with a "career" type of job...that's how I bought my system. I think it's time for an upgrade though.
