Sniper claymores > Spec Ops on arty

If you are going to play as a commander... you will have to sacrifice some points for the better of the team.

If you want to secure your UAV, arty, and sat trailer... then you will have to get used to defending them.

Claymores work great for this. You can only place two at a time and it is a viable tactic for the 1.03 whiners thinking spec ops are going to ruin commanders ability to command.

You can resupply yourself and keep claymores up... trust me it works. You just need 1-2 more snipers to keep it going.

Another tip... only place it on one artillery piece... because spec ops always try to blow two at a time... killing themselves on the claymore before they can blow it :P

Good idea! Hadn't really thought about using the claymores in such a clever way. Though I guess the hardest part is making sure the enemy comes from a certain direction (or just two) and making sure your friendlies stear clear the command assets.

LOL I love me some claymores! its fun as hell in Mashtuur to be a sniper, get up on the building, and put claymores right next to the ladder so that when someone comes up to stab you, BOOM!!!!!!!!

Yea exactly.. I couldn't believe my eyes when in mashtur once, me and another sniper were on top of the building and there was one more ladder leading to the very top position, on which was a claymore from another sniper guarding his position. I see an anti tank tammate climb up that ladder and I couldn't believe it -- BOOM! WTH would one think the red scull means on top of a building?!? Mine??? C4?? Jesus, people are so stupid.

Sniper class can be very efficient at Mashtuur. I remember holding the base on the hill, running in between that street with the small houses next to the arch. When an enemy saw me, id run the tight corner of a building, drop a claymore, and run away. He would follow hugging the building and run right into it! haha The creation of a new Trapper kit :P

Yeh I know that .. but how often would that be usful? Never. 90% of the time you Wouldn't even see the claymore. The other 10% of the time its impossible to get to the claymore without it exploding (eg at the top of a ladder). So its logical a grenade should be used to make sure its safe to climb a ladder. It's not really a big deal you cant blow up mines or C4.
