I agree that the whole driver kill assist thing is a little ridiculous at times, but I get points for it, so I'm not complaining
KDA's are nice too. It adds a little bit of satisfaction when you die in a close firefight with someone and then a few seconds later someone else on your team finishes him off.

Yeah KDA is really nice but i must add something that sucks about it as well...
When i play as a sniper im always going for the head shots but when i do get a body shot some medic is there to heal him and then if that same guy dies later on i dont get the assist...
It totally takes the point of being a sniper away from the game because then i must get either headshots or finish them off before a medic can heal him...
Snipers are supposed to fire at 100 meters and beyond but at 100 meters and beyond you cant be 100% accurate with headshots.
And some medic is lying with his three medpacks under him and fire his L85A1 rifle at you hitting you three to four times while i pound him with 3 shots from my 12.7 mm Barret. Thats lame! I should get damage points if i damage a guy overall above 100 health points...
So it sucks as well.
As for any ghost assist points it may have something to do with ranked servers?
You damage a guy and disconnect. The guy gets killed and when you connect another server you get that assist point then...
