I don't know why everyone is so crazy of Omegas. The performance difference is minimal at best. Even he admits that. He just "tweaks" the drivers to his liking. -

We'll ive just gone from regular ATi 5.7 to Omega 5.7 & there is no noticable diffrence in framrate but the Omega 5.7 dosen't ocassinally drop the frame rate like the ATI 5.7 do for no reason.Originally posted by KingOfKhaosI don't know why everyone is so crazy of Omegas. I'm McLovin' the 5.6 Omega's, and will probably just wait for the 5.8s to come out.
And Khaos, the Omegas are WAY more stable than the regular ATI drivers. It's not about performance.Comment

That's exactly what I found, but the 5.7s in general seem a lot lousier and unstable the the 5.6s. Some people have suggested that the 5.7s cause some overheating, and I can vouch for that (I certainly get all the symptoms), the texture anomalies coupled with dissappearing objects make the game far less enjoyable!
But the omegas were better, like the above poster mentioned, you wont get those sudden frame drops, but try them out, every individual setup yields different results. Good Luck! :)Comment
