    BF2 getting a bit boring?

When I play on 32 or 64 player maps, it really gets boring with the big map sizes. You go from flag to flag, and find one or two guys to fight with in the area.

My favorite maps are the 16 players one, but I found that those are usually a lot lower skilled. For some reason, there just isn't as much of a challenge on those- the 32 player servers seem to have the best players, but the larger map makes it harder to fight.

I want to be competitive and improve my skill, and I don't care about ranks or awards. The logical solution would be to join a clan so that I would only play against better players in the 16 player maps, so that is what I may do.

Skill wise, so far, this game just does not have the same level of involved play as something like CS and what not.

remember JO? Most of the time you went to any enemy base by yourself you were screwed because there were 6+ enemies there.

i loved the knife rambos in that game

flash or nade the bunker then rush it with knives, lol

Are the servers full? When I play full 32 man servers there is action everywhere. Especially on the City maps. Even larger maps like Kubra Dam and Dragon Valley have tons of action.

Sometimes you just got to take a day off, that could help you out. Remember which servers you had good experiences on limit your play to them. People always come back to good competition. I prefer the 32 player city maps and if you search, you'll find a few.

I kinda agree with what the original poster says. I think there are 2 or so maps in most everyones rotation that kinda sucks. And slows the pace.
Operation Cleansweep, while fun, SOMETIMES, is just too slow, and long.
32 players on 16 player maps, are by far, the most fun. Without question.
I think the problem with the maps in BF2, are the flags. Regardless how many people play, there are too many flags. period. I mean 10 flags? Thats alittle much, and i think creates the ring around the rosie effect, we are all accustomed to seeing. And, that just isnt fun, driving flag, to flag, to flag. To a flag, that more than likely, isnt even being defended .
            Boring.
16 player maps, urban style maps........the most fun, by far.
The only people who will probally disagree are pilots.

No, like I said, I want to improve my skill. I am well balanced, I play all of the classes, but obviously some I like more then others. I fly jets and practice with vehicles, so it isn't a matter of style. It is just the game pace.

The less imagination you have the more boring it may appear,....be more creative and stop thinking about scoring. The game can be hillarious when played that way....

You want 64 players on a 32 man server.. NOW thats fun..

we had 16 a side on a 16 player map once.. that was bloody excellent and a bloodbath :)

                    Very good

The only thing I can see making Battlefield 2 a bit boring is the lack of teamwork on public servers. Players see a vehicle and race right on out of the base and leave everyone needing a ride behind so they can get to that flag and try and keep his team down in points so he can capture the top spot.

The result, slowed down gameplay due to you having to walk to the next flag point that will be captured by the time you get there.

I have no problem with the concept of the game. Taking the waypoint. That is how BF always played. Nothing new there. The only thing now is the huge sized maps require some type of transport assistance or else you are stuck running and that hurts you points wise due to not being at the fight.

It sounds like the are doing the right thing for Special forces by limiting vehicles and making the game more infantry orientated. The biggest problem with the larger maps is all the crazy walking. Jokers always grab an apc and drive off solo, leaving the rest of the team to beat feet to the next flag.

Also, I do agree that there are too many flags. With less flags we could get more congestion and better infantry fighting. We could even possibly have squads coordinating attack/defend maneuvers together. One squad hold the line, while another squad flanks... Good stuff! Some of the best action I've seen so far was end game on Kirkand when the bridge is blown and the enemy is left with maybe two spawn points. Having 30 guys spawn at one point is incredible carnage and in turn requires incredible teamwork to fight them off..

i agree, man im so sick of having to walk because Capitan America drove off solo to save the world. i do like having big environments to play in however walking from flag to flag gets old, i guess thats why i perfer the city maps.
