When you lay C4, and then die, it remains.

What is the point of this?

I've heard if your quick you can grab your deadman kit and detonate that c4.

probably... c4 on a tank will blow.... sometimes... after you are dead

Yeah it's dead...

It's a nice deterrant though against enemy and armor who roll up and think about taking that flag you might have laid it at.

I still can't get the damn explosives badge though Any tips?

I have noticed with the anti-vehicle mines that they stay around after you die and respawn, up until you lay down your next mine.

Eg. I lay down all five mines in a circle around a flag. After I died, I spawned at that flag, just in time to see a buggy drive up and over one of my (old) mines. It only set off one, so I went over to replace it and saw the other four (old) mines vanish into thin air.

I am assuming C4 would work the same way.

C4s will blowup if the vehicle it is on is destroyed by something else, or self-destructs.
and yes you can detonate the C4s that dead soldier placed.

How do you detonate old ones?

if u get killed and your c4 is still there just get back to your kit that dropped when you died and you can blow it up with that kit.
