Choppers are a peice of cake, dropped quite a few jets in these as well. One thing I like to do is after finding a nice hiding spot, switch up to the F2 position and just scan the area, this way pilots don't get a warning lock.

Jets are tough, but the best time to hit them is when they are in a bombing run, or engaging another target. Basically anytime the pilot has more than a couple things they are concentrating on. Or...if you are so inclined...Parking an AA vehicle in or around the enemies hanger is a ton of fun. They will get you eventually but you are open to freely blowup any jet coming in for a slow-low altidude resupply/repair, and destroy any respawning vehicles.

If... Thats if.. you can hit a jet, its gone.. the thing is, stingers are guaranteed to ALWAYS miss if there is another heat source within a 45 degree area of your target... which is really cheap.. it should be like a 20% chance to go after a flare, thats a 80% chance of evasion, but still gives atleast someone a chance...

        there not!

its not a 'lock-on' as such, it just means its detected a heat source, and if your stupid enough to fire at and enemy helicopter thats in a close up dog fight with one of your choppers, then you deserve the TK punish.

Get the lock, wait.... if your chopper doesnt win the engagement wait for the enemy to fire off his counters THEN fire at him. you might find that you dont get as many TK's with this method.

and before someone replies to this with 'waaa waaa i wont get as many kills/points' - go play WoW
k you got it, but i shot also if one of mine choppers have a dodgefight, because the chance to hit the wrong one is 50 percent.

The main reason AA gets taken out, is that you refuse to either find a hinding spot, or keep moving along a hill side. if your out in the open, of course the plane is gonna get you. Helicopters are easy enough, start with the guns, launch one missle after a couple seconds if they haven't dropped flares yet, if they do no biggie, once you see that first flare drop, reaquire, and lets loose the other 3, if your guns haven't don'e enough work. And it seems some people share my stratedgy here, attack choppers, transports no probelm, unless that attack chopper sneaks up on you.

Planes are harder to get, but I still fire at them so they lose thier run, and have to find another fight where they can attack safely, and it better be away from me, cause I'll still keep firing those missles, even if they miss, yes yes aslong as there aren't freindlies right beside them.

Also once you find a decent spot or area for your AA to hang around just get your commander to drop you a supply crate, then it dosen't matter if you miss a jet, you atleast scare the **** outta them, maybe making them crash.

I don't understand why you guys say jet can only take down jets. I've taken jets down with the stationary AA plenty of times.

I was playing Dalian Plant yesterday and the USMC F-35s were hovering like helis and going like 10MPH. I was like WTF? Got on a stinger and proceeded to kill 4 jets because they did it over and over.
