If at the end of the game the scores show several players on one team with essentially zero's all the way across, is this a possible indication of players cheating by logging on 2 different players from different computers at the same location and using the "dummy" player as a means to track the opposing teams locations and orders? Are people aware of this kind of cheating occuring?

It happend to me, all it is is people with P.O.S. PCs connecting at just the same instant the game ends.

No, this isn't people logging all at the same time. Most of those people you see are idling.
If you don't select a spawn point, you idle. At the end of the match you get 0's across the board.
Check the player screen during the game. You can see the idlers there as well.

no dude he means some1 connected to the game but they just joined for like 2 seconds and then the round was over, so ur stuck with a loseing round or maybe a winning round and u did absolutely **** to deserve it =/ o well.. lol

No, "dude", he doesn't. If someone connects to a server but does not spawn during the game, they will have zeros all the way across when the match is over. It's not cheating, necessarily, it probably means they were idle.
You can ghost around the map (just hit your spacebar and you can fly around using your WASD keys, double tap to speed up) and tell someone on TS where everyone is and that can be considered cheating, but it would be difficult to do that without a directional heading.

"dude" i agree with u its not cheating, if some1 connects but doesn't spawn they will have all zeros

Sometimes when I play in a server, and need a break, or just need to go somewhere, I'll just stay in the server so I won't have to search for a new one when I come back.

On the other hand it all adds to there "global time played" which in time will earn them medals as most of the veteren and expert medals need lots of time played,
Just a thought.

If you connect to a server, but don't spawn - does the winning/losing round count for or against you?

I've gone afk for a whole map and came back on the next map and was still connected and ready to spawn...and I was still the squadleader :P

It's all good. A lot of people idle on the official servers. I always see one or two on each team. Some of them are people that just joined the map but the four players in the image below where idlers. There were already on the server at the beginning of the round.
Still, it's pretty easy to ghost on the EA official servers, they should turn spectate off.

[QUOTE=21CW Forge]damn you guys over think these things waaay too much....QUOTE]
Agreed
LOL can u tell me what is the big deal and Y anyone will tried to Ghost when there is a thing call a COmmander? Seriously commander is much more effective, so if let say someone has nothing better to do and ghost with another account, so what?? It is not really much of an advantage, when u consider there is a commander with UAVs and radars.

Relax, no one said it was a big deal. Just that it could be done. This discussion was more about idlers than ghosting.
I swear, some of you people try to cause nothing but strife of these boards.
