Hmm, I have yet to watch Over There but I've been reading that a lot of military vets (especially those coming out of Iraq) are really pissed about it.

Look towards the Over There official forums for proof.

All in all, it's a pretty stupid show.

Well it was only one person who was asking everybody about their nicknames
and he got his leg blown off so wont see much of that anymore lol.

personelly i think this show is pure crap and bad taste the war is still going on people are dying and to make a fake show with fake actors who are not even fighting is just wrong not only for US side but the iraqi side as well. Had they made this show 5-10 years from now then maybe it would be justified but its just poor taste to make a low budget hollywood production when a war is going on just to try to boost FX rateings i myself wont be watching this show.

and stopping on the side of the road? Not a f'n chance. Even the most cherry driver knows to stop in the MIDDLE.
Well you would think that but soldiers also get ran over frequently and not just in combat zones....in the middle of a base in nebraska.....so running over a mine on the side of the road isnt all that far fetched

and what's with the stupid ass little flags on the mine? Sorry, but every IED I saw wasn't so clearly marked. "Don't pay attention to these little white flags in the middle of this patch of dirt..." What are they doing, marking off a little runway? WTF.

And if it was a REAL unit, they weren't just "thrown together" the day before. They aren't a reserve unit. Even if they were all fresh out of boot, they'd have been a few months together before deployment. This isn't vietnam, for chrissakes.

Dumping the coffee mix in the mouth was pretty accurate, though. heh. Although, the stupid ass "I work for a living" comment from the sarn't was dumb. Talk about #1 stupid NCO cliche used in movies...

and the wife ridin' the dude was way off... that **** doesn't start happening after one week. It takes at least three weeks for that to start.

For all the ppl in here saying the show blows, you have seen 1 episode so shut the **** up the show could turn out a lot better, give some things a chance, it is important to do that in life.

Anyways, when the truck was pulling over I was sitting there saying oh **** to myself because that was easily seen ahead of time. One question I have is why are all the mines marked? If they were marked that means that they had been found so shouldn't the drivers have known not to do that? That is the only part I have to complain about.

Sorry, they've been hyping it for almost 8 months and they blew it. How many Iraq veterans are available to serve as tech advisors? It wouldn't have been too hard to find a couple of good ones.

I was wiling to suspend belief for a while, but come on, the whole premise of how they come together in a squad is just wrong. And what was up with the damn charge? Who is the sergeant? Custer's great grandson?

                  Sorry, Bochco blew it.

                    BS show.

                    Pure, unadultered PROPAGANDA.

So boys...when are you gonna sign up? Heard that the recruiting numbers are falling. Care to know why...? Because war isn't glamorous! :cussing:
Our soldiers are getting killed and maimed because of a friggin LIE and now some idiot in Fox is making millions off a TV series based on their suffering.
And what's with the bs showing that only one American casualty...? Reality please....reality!

                    Only in America I guess...

They're making it look like its fun. Just like camp but with shooting going on.
Its a bs show, plain and simple.

They have to "glamorize" it so the kiddies start signing up.
                          Remember: recruitment is WAY down.

It has some of the worst acting of all tv shows.. Too much drama invovled in that thing.. But it's entertaining.
